drama school

Although I hadn’t told anyone, drama school has been my fantasy for years. You see, I had always wanted to be a star. Most kids, I suppose, at some point want to be a star. They might want to be like their favorite action hero or their favorite rock and roller. For me, it was different. It was all I could think about. It was like an obsession, and dated from my earliest years. I knew that if I wanted to realize the dream, I would have to go to drama school. That was all there was to it.

Of course, dreaming of going to drama school and actually going there are two different things. The audition process was grueling. They say that anyone who has the talent can make it, but it is less about talent than it is about self-confidence. I was lacking, and it showed at first. The first two drama schools that I interviewed with rejected me outright. I tried to be confident about it, but I could tell that I was not making a great impression. Then I pulled it together. I knew that I had to give an outstanding audition, and I did just that. I got in finally! I was overjoyed.

Once I got in to drama school, however, the pressure did not drop off. A lot of people think that acting college is really easy, but it isn’t. You have to remember that, whether you are going for the role of the lead, the best friends, the villain, or what have you, there is always only one part that you want. Drama schools are fiercely competitive places, as they have to be. As an actor, director, or playwright, you have to be a fiercely competitive person. Half of what you learn in drama school is the skill to act, but the other half is the skill to compete. Without both, there is no way that you can succeed in show business.

Power through the people

Have you come across a person who is so naturally friendly that when you put him inside a room of strangers, he’ll be friends with almost everyone in no time? We call such a people-person, someone unbelievably nice and charismatic that he can charm anyone into doing anything.

A socially-empowered person achieves so much greatness, basically because of the people that catapult him to success. He earns the trust and all-out support of the people, whom he had helped before. He never runs out of help. He can do anything with the plethora of people behind him. All because he knows he maximizes his social potential!

See, if you know your social skills and you make use of them, you will reach self-empowerment. Self-empowerment is making a general overhaul in your life and turning yourself into a happier and more successful person. If you can be one of those people-persons, then I can’t see any reason why you will not succeed. You just have to know how to start.

1. Be genuine.

Hypocrisy will just bring you all the way down. Be genuinely nice and interested to people. Once they perceive that you are Mr. Hypocrite with selfish intentions, you might as well say goodbye to self-empowerment.

2. Be the greatest listener that you can be.

To earn the love and trust of the people, listen to their problems and sympathize with them. Do not just hear them out, listen to them with your heart. Make eye contact when the person talks to you. Listen as if every word matters, and it does. Brownie points when they find out that there is a confidante in you.

3. Laugh out loud.

I do not mean that you force yourself to laugh for every joke cracked by someone, albeit you do not find it funny at all. This means finding humor in things and not being too darn serious. A person oozing with an awesome sense of humor attracts crowds and eventually, attracts success.

4. Don’t forget yourself.

In the process of fluttering around like a social butterfly, you might forget yourself, allowing everyone to push you over. Remember, love and value yourself before anyone else. If you deem yourself respectable and worthy of affection, people will flock to you and not trample on you.

5. Do random acts of kindness.

You don’t have to do a John Rockefeller and blow your savings to charity. Little acts of kindness matters the most, and this can be as simple as giving someone a surprise you-take-care card or helping an elderly cross the street. When we were kindergarten students, kindness was taught to us and greatly practiced. Now is the time to revive the good deeds and this time, let them stay for good.

6. Contact your old friends.

Sad how some friendships are destined to goodbye, but thanks to technology, you can do something about it. Relive the good old days by flipping your yearbook and look for the great people whom you want to communicate with again. Adding these old friends to your roster of support peers will surely make you feel good all over.

7. Develop your personality.

Are you grouchy, grumpy and generally morose? Whoa, you can’t go through life with those. Get rid of the bad traits and habits that perpetually hamper your growth. And really, who wants a grouchy friend anyway?

8. Be confident.

Be able to stride to the other corner of the room and introduce yourself to people with that winning smile of yours. Just remember: be confident, not arrogant.

9. Practice control.

When angry, don’t snap at anyone. Never throw a tantrum. Stay calm and collected. Be adult enough to take control of situation and transform your anger into something more productive and passive. As soon as people think your anger goes to volcanic proportions easily, they will find it hard to come to you.

10. Keep nurturing your relationships.

Your relationship with your family, friends and significant others is too precious that you must not neglect it whatever happens. Go out and have fun with them. Do things together. Happiness will never fly from your side as long as the people who matter the most are close to you.

In the end, using people for self-empowerment means becoming a better and more lovable person. It’s a win-win situation: the people know they can turn to you anytime and vice versa.

Filling out an advance cash form can be done through a website if the cash advance company allows that. Due to the fact that many cash advance companies are based online, there will usually be an online application form that can be filled out regarding your cash advance request. The company will usually get in touch with you regarding the cash advance, and may be able to give you an answer within 24 hours of receiving the filled in form.
Filling in a cash advance form is also very simple, it doesnt require any hard questions to be answered, just simple questions including name, where you live, etc.; hopefully they wont need to utilize any information like that because you can keep up with the repayments. That way they wont send anyone to knock on your door asking for the money which you havent paid back yet.
An online cash advance form is meant to be easy to fill out because the companies understand you are in need of cash and every small bit of help that will make it easier for you to receive that cash will be highly regarded among the customers. Because of a speedy and easy process, companies can promise an answer within 24 hours after you have filled out the cash advance form; they understand the kind of situation that you are in and will help you with the whole process. All they ask is that you meet certain requirements such as being over 18 years of age and earning at least $1,200 a month. Making sure their customers meet these requirements is the safety net for many companies so that they know that you can make the repayments with the money that you earn.
Speed and ease that is what people want when filling in a form requesting quick financial help and with a cash advance form they can receive that speed and ease.

Business loan

Getting a business loan during a time in which the economy and market isnt as stable as it was a few years ago, may be a bit more challenging than you may think. Not to say that it isnt highly possible to get a business loan; it just means that banks and financial institutions are being quite picky about their clients. A current business with established credit and profits is more likely to get a positive response than a start-up business at the moment.
In order to get a business loan as a start-up company, be prepared to give the lending institutions more information than you ever knew existed. Most places will ask you for a very detailed business plan. Sure, creating a business plan is a major challenge and time consuming but a vital part of establishing a business. A bank wants to see that your business plan has outlined every possible scenario and step that your company will be facing. Seeing all the details meticulously put together in a folder shows that you are organized and quite serious about your business venture. If you are able to obtain a new business loan without showing anyone a business plan, consider yourself either lucky or the victim of a scam.

The Pest

The eighth of November was my birthday. I figured the best way to celebrate was to strike up a conversation with someone I didn’t know.
That would have been about ten A.M.
At the corner of Florida and Córdoba, I stopped a well-dressed sixty-year-old with a briefcase in his right hand and that certain uppitiness of lawyers and notaries.
“Excuse me, sir,” I said, “could you please tell me how to get to the Plaza de Mayo?
The man stopped, gave me the once-over, and asked a pointless question: “Do you want to go to the Plaza de Mayo, or to the Avenida de Mayo?
“Actually, I’d like to go to the Plaza de Mayo, but if that’s not possible, I’m fine with just about any place else.”
“O.K., then,” he said, eager to speak and without having paid any attention to me at all, “head that way” — he pointed south — “cross Viamonte, Tucum醤, Lavalle?
I realized he was having fun ticking off the eight streets I’d have to cross, so I decided to interrupt:
“Are you sure about what you’re saying?”
“Absolutely.”
“Forgive me for doubting your word,” I explained, “but just a few minutes ago a man with an intelligent face told me that the Plaza de Mayo was the other way” — and I pointed toward the Plaza San Mart’n.
The fellow could only reply, “Must be someone who’s not familiar with the city.”
“Nevertheless, like I said, he had an intelligent face. And naturally, I prefer to believe him, not you.”
Giving me a stern look, he asked, “All right, tell me, why do you prefer to believe him instead of me?”
“It’s not that I prefer to believe him instead of you. But, like I said, he had an intelligent face.”
“You don’t say! And I suppose I look like an idiot?”
“No, no!” I was shocked. “Who ever said such a thing?”
“Since you said that the other fellow had an intelligent face?
“Well, truthfully, this man had a very intelligent look about him.”
My sparring partner was growing impatient.
“Very well, then, sir,” he said, “I’m rather pressed for time, so I’ll say good-bye and be on my way.”
“That’s fine, but how do I get to the Plaza San Mart’n?”

The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for Friday’s bombing of a mosque in Rawapindi and vowed to carry out more attacks, according to an e-mail message from the group.
The assault targeted a mosque frequented by Pakistani military personnel, and killed 36 and wounded 75, the military said.
The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan took responsibility for the action on Friday but reiterated its claim in an e-mail to CNN on Saturday because media outlets quoted analysts and some officials who doubted the group’s participation.

Rescuers were desperately trying to save dozens of people Saturday who were thrown overboard when a boat collided with a ferry in the Nile River in northern Egypt, the nation’s government-owned Al-Ahram newspaper reported.
The accident happened Friday near the city of Rashid, the paper said.
About 50 people were on the ferry. Six people were hospitalized and three dead bodies, including two children, were found at the site of the accident, the paper reported.
A search for survivors Saturday was hampered by the narrow area in the waterway where the collision occurred, the paper said.

Mad Money’s weekly Off the Charts segment is a chance for viewers to learn comparative stock analysis, the very decision making that Jim Cramer used as a hedge-fund manager.
In fact, on his television show he was wearing his own pair of UGG Boots and got on a table to show viewers. Some of the reasons that Jim Cramer loves UGG boots stock like ugg classic cardy is because of the loyalty and performance of their key customers and the quality of management.
Deckers sells UGGs on sale, the popular brand that even garnered several Oprah endorsements.Jim Cramer thinks Deckers has done a great job of getting its shoes to its target customers, too.
UGG Boots sale aren’t just a fashion statement for women. And if you’re one of Cramer’s fans, do yourself a favor and get a pair of UGG Boots Cheap so you’ll know exactly what he’s talking about.
Off the topic of stock picks, I caught Jenni Pulos, of Bravo TV’s ‘Flipping Out’ looking very cute in a pair of black leggings and black UGG Cardy boots worn pulled up.

Squirrel

It was when Squirrel Nutkin appeared at the October Board meeting that Mr Ramsay began to acquire his reputation for eccentricity. And that’s putting it mildly. A mild mannered man like him, too. Never said a word, usually. Kept his contributions to meetings to shaking his head in disapproval. Let everybody walk all over him. Especially Mr Giles.

To be fair, there were people who said at the time that there was nothing wrong in wearing a glove puppet to a board meeting as such, but there were more who disagreed, and several who thought that Mr Ramsay was off his chump. The matter was hotly disputed in every one of the company’s offices, on the shopfloor, in the canteen. Mr Ramsay was well-liked, even if everyone thought him ineffectual, so a lot of people stuck up for him, even if they thought the squirrel a bit odd. The one thing at which everybody drew the line, though, was his according the squirrel executive powers.

It happened during Mr Giles’s monthly overlong summary of the company’s financial position. Two factors, he was saying, were making the prospects for Ramsay & Co look bleak. These were:

1. the downturn in the ladies’ hosiery market. Sales had, like the inferior products of the company’s competitors, been slipping for years, and

2. the inefficiency of Ramsay & Co compared to its competitors.

The first of these factors spoke for itself, he said. There were simply fewer items of hosiery being sold, whether this was due to a new fashion for bare-leggedness due to the long hot summer combined with the undoubted increase in the uptake of feminine trouserings, or was a sign of continued recession was not for him to say. Ramsay & Co simply had to face the facts, whether they liked them or not, and accept what the market was telling them. Reality didn’t always turn out the way people wanted it to.
